Who does what. Inheritance Money Advice is an information and introduction service. We do not provide regulated financial advice and we do not make personal recommendations.
If you ask to be introduced to an adviser, we pass your details to an FCA-authorised financial advice firm. Our current intended introduction partner is Life Map Ltd (FCA Firm Reference Number 813341). Any advice you receive is given by that firm, under its own regulatory responsibilities. Whether advice is right for you is your decision — receiving an inheritance does not automatically mean you need advice.
What this website is
Inheritance Money Advice publishes general information about UK inheritance, tax and money decisions, and offers an optional introduction to an FCA-authorised financial advice firm. Nothing on this site is regulated financial advice, a personal recommendation, a tax recommendation or a legal opinion.
Our content
We aim to keep content accurate and aligned with published HMRC and government guidance at the time of writing. Tax rules, thresholds and allowances change, and how they apply depends on your circumstances. You should verify anything important with GOV.UK or a suitably qualified professional before acting. We do not accept liability for decisions taken solely on the basis of this website.
The planner and introductions
The planner shows what people in broadly similar positions commonly consider. It is not an assessment of your circumstances and does not tell you what you should do. If you ask for an introduction, we pass your details to an FCA-authorised firm; we do not control whether that firm takes you on, what it recommends, or when it contacts you, and we do not promise a contact time. Any advice relationship is between you and that firm.
There is no charge to you for using this site or for an introduction. We may receive a fee from the advice firm for making an introduction. This never changes what you pay.
No guarantees
We do not guarantee investment returns, tax savings, protection from Inheritance Tax, or any particular financial outcome. Investments can fall as well as rise and you may get back less than you invest.
Acceptable use
Please do not submit false details, submit other people's details without their permission, or attempt to disrupt, scrape or automate submissions to our forms.
